What is Personal injury protection - pip?

Personal Injury Protection, also known as PIP, is that portion of your car insurance that pays for medical bills related to a car accident.
If you have a Massachusetts policy and you have been injured in a car accident your PIP coverage will pay up to $8,000 of medical bills. That includes, ER, medical, chiropractic, physical therapy and all other treatment related to your recovery.
What if I’m at fault?
You do not have to delay treatment if the accident was your fault. You are still eligible for full PIP coverage and can still seek treatment for your injuries.
